Employment Seminar, Intake, and Job Referrals; The seminar in which anyone may attend as often as necessary to achieve employment, educational, and vocational assistance is offered bi-monthly at the Associated Prison Ministries Office. vocational services, and job listings that do not exclude those who have a criminal background.

"My Fathers Business"

Housing and referrals for the homeless and those in re-entry, (which includes formerly incarcerated, mental and physical disabled, social security recipients, and low income individuals), who cannot or are yet to be able to afford habitation in the open housing market or their barriers prevent them from retaining housing in the open market. Starting over with the economic strain of today’s market, many are left in homeless situations by venture of s status of past and present debt ratios, mental incapacitated, or core class status, thus making stability a healthy re-entry, and employment, unambiguously difficult and harmfully challenging. Employment Rights of Workers with Criminal Records

Anti-discrimination and consumer protection laws provide critical protections for workers with criminal records. But too often these laws are not enforced. NELP is working to enforce Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Fair Credit Reporting Act to expand job opportunities for people with criminal records. NELP maintains extensive resources on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's guidance on the use of conviction and arrest records in employment decisions and the guidelines of the U.S. Department of Labor applying the civil rights protections to the workforce development commun
